Sign below to help us protect this vital habitat

We urgently need your help to protect ecologically significant land under threat of development in Brunswick Heads which  threatens to clear 230 vital trees, including Scribbly Gums and Wallum Banksias, which provide essential habitats for numerous threatened species.

Leading ecologists have identified significant flaws in the developments approval and environmental assessments. Moreover, the community's voice has not been adequately represented in the Public Consultation Process.

Our region needs more homes, but no housing development should destroy threatened species habitat during an extinction crisis.

We are calling on the Byron Shire Council to refer this development to the Federal Environment Minister under the EPBC Act and await the outcome of that referral before taking any further steps.
